It is no secret that I love playing board games. My husband and I play them all the time and we also love to play them with our kids. My favourite gifts my kids get for their birthdays are books and board games because they combine quality family time with learning.
Our momstown mamas had such a great time at our Mattel Game On Game Night so we were so excited when Mattel sent us some games to play with the kids! They carefully selected games that had a different learning component to each one.
We split the kids into groups so everyone got a chance to play each game.
Uno Moo is a personal favourite of mine...my kids love it! You have to match either the colour or the type of animal and put it in the barn. This one was good even for the really young children.
Next we played Parrot Pile Up. This game required a little more concentration and fine motor skills and the children got really excited to have their turn.
Brianna was very excited to win this game. She played the other games but couldn't wait to go back and play this one a second time!
We also played Chipmunk Chompers. The kids were so excited before they even saw the game. They all really liked the chipmunk! This game is really great because it has different levels of difficulty so kids can play it for years!
Board games are such a great way to bond with your kids while having fun. And the best part is, they don't even know they are learning while playing! I also really loved how the games each encouraged the children to take turns and be good sports.
