This month Scholastic Canada provided us with the sweet story, "Welcome, Baby" by Barbara Reid, which explores the joys of bringing home a new baby and the hopes and dreams moms & dads have for them! Our babies aged 0 -12 months, along with their mom's enjoyed this story at our Baby Basics event. This is a great way of introducing books and early literacy to infants. It's never too early to start reading to your baby and this event is a great way to connect with other moms in our community. It takes place at Chapter's in St. Catharines every month.
We are provided with two of these great books every month and two lucky babies get to take them home to add to their own collection! The lucky winners this month were Emmett & Quinn!
After story time, we had a blast making pop-up penguin crafts to bring our monthly theme, "Polar Animals" to a close. Our mama's loved watching their baby's little eyes light up when the penguin poked his head out of the cup and the babies loved the surprise!
Scholastic Canada also generously provides us books for our monthly Tales for Tots event, which is great for our 1 - 6 year olds. This event is also held at Chapters!
