Scholastic Tales for Tots with momstown Niagara

This month at our Tales for Tots event we read Split! Splat! by Amy Gibson. This is a great rhyming, springtime story about going to play outside and enjoy the rain with friends and has and illustrations by Steve Bjorkman.  Scholastic Canada does a great job of selecting books for us that go along with our monthly momstown themes and they generously send us two sets of books each month for our Baby Basics program as well as Tales for Tots, which is geared towards toddlers!  This month our theme is Wet! Wet! Wet!

We gather at the Indigo Kids section of our local Chapters store in St. Catharines to enjoy our story, followed by a craft that ties in with our theme.  This month we made rainbows to brighten things up a little after doing lots of rainy crafts at our other monthly events.

After we enjoy the story, we raffle it off to one of our lucky momstown kiddies, so they can add it to their own book collection!   Here are the winning sisters with their rainbow crafts!
