Scholastic Events are a Favourite for Niagara Moms and Tots!

At our Scholastic Baby Basics and our Scholastic Tales for Tots events in August we read "Read Me A Book" by Barbara Reid. Scholastic Canada provides us with age appropriate books each month to read at both of our Scholastic events that are held in Chapters. If you were one of our first 100 guests at our momstown 6th birthday party and received a grab bag, this was one of the many treats inside. Scholastic Canada generously provided us with copies of these books to add into our grab bags, to give away at our Dora coloring table, and to read at both Scholastic events this month!

 

 

 

At our Scholastic Baby Basics event, we began by reading our book. Then we raffled off 2 copies for our moms and babies. Here are our winners!

 

 

 

With our theme being birds this month, we followed our book with some bird foot print crafts. Our mommies could choose to make peacocks or robins or both!

 

 

 

 

It's so much fun to watch the babies foot prints get larger every month with each new footprint craft we do!

 

 

 

At our Scholastic Tales for Tots event, after reading our book we raffled off 2 more copies for our moms and toddlers. Here are our winners!

 

 

 

At this event, we made owls out of construction paper and used egg cartons for the eyes. Our toddler group loves the glue, I'm sure we had some everywhere.
